Installation
General
- Ensure the Tubelight is disconnected from the mains supply before commencing any work upon it.
- Don't connect the Tubelight to the mains whilst it is still wound on the reel as the generated heat may cause a fire hazard.
- Cut only at the marked places otherwise the tube will be damaged and it will be impossible to connect it to the power source.
- Only use a sharp cutter and make a clean and right-angled cut.
- Only authentic Tubelight cables and connectors should be used.
- Always use an 'End Cap' at the end of the length of Tubelight.
- All power leads and connectors must be glued and sheathed.
Cutting
- Tubelight should only be cut at the special marked points. these are marked by a symbol at 1m intervals along its length. Cutting Tubelight at any other point will damage that section and it will be impossible to connect it to the power source.
- Always use a sharp cutter and make a clean and right-angled cut.
Bending and shaping
It is important that, especially at low temperatures, that the Tubelight is first heated before bending. This is simply achieved by connecting the Tubelight to the mains for a few minutes. This is Extremely important if you want to bend it to fit small angled corners.
