NJD RAP250 ROTARY ADVERTISING PROJECTOR. The RAP250 offers the user a high brightness, interchangeable, large rotating image for a variety of applications. For advertising, the user can project his own logo or slogan onto any convenient surface, either static or rotating at a speed of your choice with the additional facility of a Blackout Shutter to enable the image to be flashed on and off. The image can be coloured with a selection of dichroic coloured filters and, when using split or multiple colours, can also rotate the colours behind the image.
For entertainment applications the RAP250 can be used to project moving Moiré images with rotating colours onto a suitable surface or as an in air projector creating moving images in smoke. The RAP250 can be set at a fixed speed or be activated automatically to sound or be controlled by either DMX or 0-10 volts. With its superbly engineered extruded aluminium case and supplied with a selection of standard gobos and colour filter the RAP250 is a dramatic and economic professional, multiple-application effect.

Using Custom Gobos
To have a custom gobo produced you should supply the best quality image possible of the logo required. Whilst the finished gobo is either 29mm (for the RAP250 and VORTEX) or 15mm (For the RAP 100), it is advisable to supply your logo as large as possible (up to 150mm diameter) this will provide a sharper defined image when the logo is photographically reduced.
Remember that you are designing a "hole" through which light will shine. The larger the hole the brighter the image (Fine lettering will allow very little light through). Also certain images will require supports to stop the center falling out. These supports will be designed in during gobo manufacture but remember that they will be there and so the finished gobo may be slightly different from your original.

Or from any company specialising in the production of custom gobos. Custom gobos should have an overall diameter of 48mm and an image size of 24-28mm diameter. Size "E" Gobos may be used with the RAP250, by using a gobo carrier (part number RT/G1). The gobo should be attached to the gobo carrier with a good quality silicone adhesive.
